DAY 1 Venice
Welcome to Venice! Your tour commences with an arrival transfer to your hotel. Check in and settle into your room before joining your tour manager and fellow travellers this evening for a welcome meeting.

DAY 2 Venice – Postojna – Bled
Begin your discovery of Croatia and Slovenia as you venture towards the Karstic region of Slovenia where you will stop at family-run estate for a tasting of wines and homemade produce in the beautiful setting of a locally operated vineyard. From here, continue to Postojna to explore one of Europe’s largest cave systems. Travel underground by electric train and uncover the two million year old caverns, halls and passages of this jaw-dropping subterranean world. After, proceed on to the enchanting town of Bled and in the evening, gather together for a hearty dinner at a local restaurant.

DAY 3 Bled / Julian Alps
Discover the breathtaking beauty of Slovenia’s alpine region today. Begin your day at the iconic Bled Castle, perched high on a cliff with stunning panoramic views of the lake and its surrounds. Head down to the shore for a relaxing pletna boat ride to the island in the middle of the lake, visiting the historic Church of Assumption. Next, head to Bohinj, a beautiful alpine valley in the Julian Alps where you visit an eco dairy farm for a butter and cheese making workshop, produced the traditional way – in a copper cauldron with a wood-burning stove! Sample an assortment of local flavours with a light lunch before heading to the cable car station to ride to the top of Mt. Vogel for views of Lake Bohinj and the Julian Alps. Return to Bled, where the remainder of the afternoon and evening are free for relaxation or further exploration on your own. Perhaps try the famous and tasty Bled cream cake!

DAY 4 Bled – Ljubljana – Zagreb
Set off for Slovenia’s lively capital Ljubljana where on arrival you will commence a guided walking tour through the city’s baroque Old Town and take in the sights such as the iconic three bridges. Your tour includes a return funicular ride to Ljubljana Castle followed by some free time. Continue to the Slovenian town of Novo Mesto where you embark on a traditional rafting experience down the Krka river. Sample the local wine 'Cvicek' and traditional flat bread 'pogaca' as you take in the picturesque skyline along the river. Make your way across the border and into continental Croatia, arriving in the capital of Zagreb. Enjoy dinner tonight at a local restaurant.

DAY 5 Zagreb – Motovun – Buzet
This morning, join a local guide for a walking tour of the country’s cultural, commercial and political heart, featuring the historic Upper Town, St. Mark’s Church and Government Palace. There is also time to wander through the colourful open air market. Leave the city behind and head towards the coast for a taste of the Mediterranean! Over the next couple of days you will discover the culinary and historical delights of the Istrian peninsula whilst visiting some of the enchanting medieval hilltop villages and towns dotted throughout the region. Your first stop today will be the village of Motovun known for its stunning panoramic views of the surrounding countryside and its well-preserved historic architecture. Then travel to a neighbouring village for a truffle hunt demonstration. During the demonstration, you'll witness firsthand the ancient art of truffle hunting as the guides lead you on an adventure through the forest in search of these elusive treasures. Learn about the fascinating biology of truffles, the techniques used to locate them, and the rich history of truffle hunting in Istria. A short drive away is the village of Buzet, where you will spend the next 2 nights.

DAY 6 Buzet / Istrian Peninsula
Delight in a full day exploring the Istrian peninsula which begins with a scenic drive south to Rovinj. Upon arrival meet your local guide and stroll through the town seeing the Church of St. Euphemia, the city gates and an artist colony. After the tour enjoy lunch at a local restaurant before continuing to the village of Bale. Here, visit a local olive grove farm to learn more about the olive-growing process and a tasting of some olive oil with a snack. Travel to Pula - the largest city in Istria, where on a guided city tour you will visit the well-known, Pula Arena, one of the best preserved Roman amphitheatres with four sides of its towers still intact. Also stop and see Hercules Gate, the Cathedral and the Temple of Augustus before enjoying some free time before returning to Buzet.

DAY 10 CRUISE Hvar
Your Hvar experience begins with an introduction to island life on one of the world’s most stunning islands. By coach, explore small fishing villages of Vrboska and Stari Grad, seeing vineyard-covered hills, olive groves and undulating fields of rosemary and lavender (seasonal) along the way. Sit back and relax with a wine tasting and a traditional Peka lunch at a local konoba (traditional tavern). In the afternoon sail around the island to Hvar Town for a guided walking tour of this historical centre. The remainder of the evening is then free to explore Hvar, perhaps climbing to the top of the Spanish Fortress for scenic views over the town and out to sea. The evening is free to experience the vibrant night life of this popular Adriatic hot spot.

DAY 11 CRUISE Hvar – Vis
Continue your cruise with a stop for a refreshing swim in the warm waters of the Adriatic on the way to beautiful Vis Island. Until the late 80’s Vis was closed to tourists and served as a military zone for the Yugoslav army, because of this and coupled with its remoteness, it has helped preserve the island's authenticity. Enjoy time in Vis Town to experience the island's local food and wine, discover Greek and Roman ruins or simply marvel in the beauty of this island that featured in the movie Mama Mia 2.

DAY 12 CRUISE Vis – Bisevo – Korcula
This morning cruise to Bisevo Island’s incredible Blue Cave, a unique otherworldly natural phenomenon. Only recently opened to the public, its silvery blue waters are a must to see. Afterwards enjoy lunch on board and a relaxing swim stop on the way to the island of Korcula. Cruise along the length of the island to enchanting Korcula Town where, on a walking tour, you will see the mighty fortress and city walls and learn about the infamous Marco Polo and his connection to this island.

DAY 13 CRUISE Korcula – Mljet – Slano
