DAY 1 Vilnius
Welcome to Vilnius! On arrival, your tour commences with an optional transfer to your hotel after which the rest of the day is at leisure. You may begin exploring Vilnius, the lively capital of and the largest city in Lithuania, as well as the second most populous city in the Baltic States. Tonight, join your fellow travellers and Tour Manager at a Welcome Meeting, before finding yourself a good restaurant and trying Lithuanian food such as cepelinai, balandeliai or sakotis.

DAY 2 Vilnius
Vilnius is a maze of baroque-inspired architecture, cobblestone streets and historic monuments. This morning commence a walking tour around Old Town taking you to see Vilnius Cathedral, Gediminas Tower, Old University, 16th century Gates of the Dawn and visits Peter and Paul Church. The afternoon offers an optional excursion to Trakai, the medieval capital of Lithuania, for a tour of the well-preserved Trakai Castle located on an island in Lake Galve. In the evening, enjoy an optional Lithuanian dinner at a local restaurant.

DAY 3 Vilnius - Riga
Depart Vilnius and stop at the Hill of Crosses, one of Lithuania’s most holy relics. Then cross into Latvia and reach the magnificent Rundale Palace, built by Rastrelli as the former summer residence of the Duke of Courland. Following a guided tour of the complex, continue through the rolling hills of southern Latvia to Riga set on the Baltic Sea at the mouth of Daugava River. Arrive in Riga in the late afternoon and after checking into your hotel you are welcome to explore the country's capital at your own leisure.

DAY 4 Riga
Riga, founded in 1201, is a true kaleidoscope of architectural styles. Tour the city beginning with the Art Nouveaux district and the Old Town to see Riga Castle, the Dome Cathedral, St. Peter’s Church, the Swedish Gate, the Three Brothers and the Freedom Monument. In the afternoon you may wish to join an optional visit to Jurmala, famous for its wooden architecture and sandy beaches, while the evening is excellent for an optional organ concert at the Dome Cathedral.

DAY 5 Riga
Spend the day exploring Riga at your own pace, or discover medieval Latvia by joining an optional tour to Gauja National Park and the town of Sigulda. Listen to the legend of the Rose of Turaida and see the ruins of the Episopal Castle and the Castle of the Knights of the Sword. The afternoon is saved for an optional visit to the Ethnographic Open-Air Museum, for a glimpse of 18th century country life by the banks of Lake Jugla.

DAY 6 Riga - Tallinn
Drive along the coastal highway and across the border to the resort town of Parnu, Estonia's most popular summer holiday destination since the 19th century. Its history dates to the Middle Ages when it was an important stop along the Hanseatic trade route. Enjoy a short tour of this beachside town before travelling through the forests of northern Estonia and into Tallinn. Check into your hotel and the balance of the day is at your disposal to discover this delightful capital city.

DAY 7 Tallinn
With captivating history, culture and undeniable charm, Tallin is truly a hidden gem in Europe. Explore the walled city of Tallinn on a morning tour, seeing Toompea Castle, Dome Cathedral and the Old Town Hall and Great Guild HalI. In the afternoon, we recommend an optional excursion to Kadriorg Park with its baroque palace and award-winning art museum KUMU. Lastly, why not end the day with an optional medieval dinner at a local restaurant.

DAY 8 Tallinn - Helsinki
Continue your exploration of Tallinn this morning, or take part in an optional excursion to Lahemaa National Park. Here you can visit Palmse Manor, Sagadi Manor and Vihula Manors, where the tour concludes at the Vodka Museum. After, take the ferry to Helsinki and enjoy the voyage onboard through the Finnish archipelago. On arrival, transfer to your hotel where the remainder of the day is free to take in the vibrant and modern capital of Finland.

DAY 9 Helsinki
Helsinki is a green and lively city, where urban culture blends seamlessly with the laid back charm of a seaside city. Embark on a sightseeing tour taking you around the harbours and the Senate Square containing the Lutheran Cathedral. Stroll along Mannerheim street, and by the Parliament Building, Finlandia Hall and the Sibelius monument with a visit to the famous Church-in-the-Rock. Afterwards, go on an optional tour to Suomenlinna Fortress, a cultural treasure built on an island in the 18th century as a sea fortress.
