DAY 1 Vilnius
Welcome to Vilnius! On arrival, your tour commences with an optional transfer to your hotel and the rest of the day is at leisure. You may begin exploring Vilnius, the lively capital of and the largest city in Lithuania, as well as the second most populous city in the Baltic States. Tonight, join your fellow travellers and Tour Manager at a Welcome Meeting, before finding yourself a good restaurant and trying Lithuanian food such as cepelinai, balandeliai or sakotis.

DAY 2 Vilnius
Vilnius is a maze of baroque-inspired architecture, cobblestone streets and historic monuments. Your walking tour brings you to see Vilnius Cathedral, Gediminas Tower, Old University, 16th century Gates of the Dawn and visits Peter and Paul Church. The afternoon offers an optional excursion to Trakai, the medieval capital of Lithuania, for a tour of the well-preserved Trakai Castle. In the evening, enjoy an optional Lithuanian dinner at a local restaurant.

DAY 3 Vilnius - Nida
This morning, make a stop in Kaunas, former capital of Lithuania, to admire its beautiful Old Town and the elegant white baroque Town Hall. After enjoying a short walking tour in Klaipeda, take the ferry to Curonian Spit, a large sand dune separating the Curonian Lagoon from the Baltic Sea, and on to the resort town of Nida. This evening, there is an optional to enjoy an authentic fisherman's dinner at Tik Pas Jona.

DAY 4 Nida - Liepaja
Enjoy a free morning for your own or go on a half-day optional excursion to the Curonian Spit which takes you to the spectacular Parnidis Dune and Naglis Dune, the Hill of Witches in Juodkrante and Thomas Mann’s summerhouse. In the early afternoon, depart for the port city of Liepaja and later, you have the option for a casual dinner at a beach café, Red Sun Buffet, located right on the wide sandy beach.

DAY 5 Liepaja - Riga
Liepaja takes its name from the numerous linden trees in the city. Start the day with a short stroll in the Old Town with the Trinity Church, visit Jurmala Park and the former Naval Port area with its famous Orthodox Cathedral. Continue through Southern Latvia to the magnificent Rundale Palace and enjoy a guided tour of this former summer residence of the Duke of Courland. At last, head to Riga and get a feel for the capital city and cultural centre by walking around.

DAY 6 Riga
Riga, founded in 1201, is a true kaleidoscope of architectural styles. Tour the city beginning with the Art Nouveaux district and the Old Town to see Riga Castle, the Dome Cathedral, St. Peter’s Church, the Swedish Gate, the Three Brothers, Freedom Monument and so on. Subsequently, consider an optional visit to Jurmala, famous for its wooden architecture and sandy beaches, while the evening is excellent for an optional organ concert at the Dome Cathedral.

DAY 7 Riga
Spend the day exploring more on your own or discover medieval Latvia by joining this an optional tour to Gauja National Park and the town of Sigulda. Listen to the legend of the Rose of Turaida and see the ruins of the Episopal Castle and of the Castle of the Knights of the Sword. The afternoon is saved for an optional visit to Ethnographical Open-Air Museum, to walk amongst the structures and view household objects from the past, near Lake Jugla.

DAY 8 Riga - Tallinn
Drive along the coastal highway to the resort town of Parnu, Estonia's most popular summer holiday destination since the 19th century. Its history dates to the Middle Ages when it was an important stop along the Hanseatic trade route. Enjoy a short tour of this now beach paradise before travelling through the forests of northern Estonia to Tallinn. Check into your hotel and the balance of the day is at your disposal to discover this delightful capital city.

DAY 9 Tallinn
With captivating history, culture and undeniable charm, Tallin is truly a hidden gem in Europe. Explore the walled city of Tallinn on a morning tour, seeing Toompea Castle, Dome Cathedral and the Old Town Hall, as well as entering the medieval Great Guild HalI. In the afternoon, we recommend an optional excursion to Kadriorg Park with its baroque palace and KUMU, an award-winning art museum. Lastly, why not attend an optional medieval dinner at a restaurant.

DAY 10 Tallinn
