DAY 1 Kirkenes
Welcome to Kirkenes! On arrival, your tour begins with a transfer to the Snowhotel Kirkenes, the famous igloo hotel of Norway. Tonight, there is an opportunity to witness the magical Northern Lights on a memorable husky safari which takes you through snow covered nature and over frozen lakes.

DAY 2 Kirkenes
A totally unique experience awaits you on the frozen fjords of Kirkenes. This is your chance to come face to face with the mysterious Arctic King Crab, one of the most sort after meals in the country's top restaurants. You will participate in helping to saw the hole in the ice and bring up the catch. By snowmobile sledge you will be taken to a beautiful farmhouse by the lake where you will get to observe your master guide preparing the King Crab as you relax by the cosy fire. Although presentation is simple, the superb, white leg meat and claws with their particularly juicy and naturally sweet taste make this meal truly memorable.

DAY 3 Kirkenes - Vardo - Batsfjord - Berlevag
After breakfast, your Snowhotel adventure ends with a transfer to the port for your next leg of journey. Please make your own way to the port to board your Havila Voyage, then lunch will be served. The ship sails to Vardo first, right in the middle of spectacular Arctic nature, known for its colourful houses and frequent festivals. The next stop is the fishing village of Batsfjord which attracts up to 10,000 boats annually, followed by Berlevag at the edge of the world.

DAY 4 Honningsvag - Hammerfest - Tromso
The polar landscape changes as we sail towards the west and south again. The great expanses are replaced by steep peaks, and in the evening we sail into Tromsø. You can take a stroll in the midnight sun or under the Northern Lights and explore the nightlife of the city dubbed 'The Paris of the North'.

DAY 5 Harstad - Stokmarknes - Svolvaer
Return to the wild, idyllic Lofoten Islands . Beneath the jagged mountains lie chalky white sandy beaches and fishing villages with a vibrant fishing industry and locals using the coastal ships for everyday trips and transport. If the weather permits, you will enter the narrow Trollfjord. There is a strong possibility of spotting sea eagles here.

DAY 6 Bodø - Bronnoysund - Rorvik
Now you have come so far south that you're crossing the Arctic Circle and sailing away from the polar night and the sunlit nights. But you can still see the Northern Lights in the winter, and it is never completely dark during the summer nights. Here you sail past a myriad of small islands, islets and skerries and past the special mountain, Torghatten, which has a hole in the middle. If you wish, you can also go on the trip to the mountain and enter the hole.

DAY 7 Trondheim - Kristiansund - Molde
Sail through the wide Trondheim fjord that is bounded by rolling farmland on both sides and return to the coast and the open sea. You can disembark in Kristiansund and be driven along the Atlantic Ocean Road, which has been called the world's most beautiful drive. The road meanders along islets and skerries, and afterwards you can re-embark in Molde.

DAY 8 Maloy - Floro - Bergen
The last day of the voyage takes you through a diverse coastal landscape of bare rocky mountains and a maze of sounds and waterways between many islands. Great fjords and glaciers are situated inland and Bergen awaits at the end of the voyage. Check out of your cabin this morning by 10.00hrs. You will be advised onboard where you can leave your luggage until your arrival at 14.45hrs. After disembarkation, your Havila voyage concludes. Please make your own way to your hotel with the remainder of your day free to explore the capital of Norway's Fjord region.

DAY 9 Bergen - Flam
Early departure from Bergen Railway Station to depart on one of the most beautiful trips in Europe; the Norway in a Nutshell tour. This unique and popular excursion takes you through some of the most magnificent scenery to be found on the west coast of Norway. On arrival in Voss take a coach up the steep and spectacular hairpin bends of Stalheimskleiva to the Stalheim Hotel from where you can enjoy wonderful views of the Stalheimsfossen and Sivlefossen waterfalls. After a short stop at the viewpoint, continue to Gudvangen and board the ferry along the Naeroyfjord, the narrowest fjord in Europe, and the Aurlandsfjord. The Naeroyfjord is now included on the UNESCO World Heritage List and surrounded by mighty mountains up to 1,800 metres high; this branch of the Sognefjord is amazingly beautiful. Along the way there are views of the small traditional farms and villages. On arrival in the idyllic fjord side village of Flam make the short walk to your hotel for check in.

DAY 10 Flam - Oslo
Continue your journey today as you travel along the Flam Railway, regarded as one of the high points on the Norway in a Nutshell tour. The 20 kilometre long train journey from Flam, deep in the fjord to the mountain station of Myrdal takes around 55 minutes. On the journey you have views of some of the most magnificent mountain scenery in Norway with an ever-changing panorama of tall mountains and thundering waterfalls. Along the Flam railway the train moves slowly and stops at the best views. On arrival in Myrdal take the main line train to Oslo where on arrival, make your way to the hotel.

Your tour concludes this morning after breakfast and check out from your hotel. If you have time in Oslo before your departure, why not do a city tour where you can witness the stunning views over Oslofjord from Holmenkollen Ski Jump, stroll through Vigeland Park encompassing more than 200 sculptures in bronze, granite and wrought iron and have the opportunity to visit the Fram Museum (dedicated to Polar expeditions) and the famous Viking Ship Museum.
