Day 1 Athens - Delphi - Kalambaka
Begin your tour early as you depart Athens driving through the fertile plains of the Beotia region, passing by the towns of Thebes, Levadia and the picturesque village of Arachova. Arrive in Delphi, known as the home of the most famous oracle of the ancient world, and visit the Archaeological Site. After, head for Kalambaka, a small town located at the foot of the astonishing complex of the Meteora. These gigantic rocks rise steep from the plain of Thessaly.

Day 2 Kalambaka - Thessaloniki
Today, you will tour the monasteries of Meteora, perched atop sandstone rock pillars and representing fine examples of Byzantine art. As you leave Kalambaka, drive through the astonishing valley with the longest river in Greece, Aliakcmon, to arrive in Thessaloniki, the second largest and the most vibrant city in Greece.

Day 3 Thessaloniki
This morning, you will discover Thessaloniki, second only to Constantinople (Istanbul) during the days of the Byzantine Empire. Experience the city’s glorious past in some of the world’s oldest churches and at the Museum of Byzantine Culture. The afternoon is then at leisure to explore the lively city centre on your own, followed by an evening dinner.

Day 4 Thessaloniki - Macedonia - Thessaloniki
After breakfast, discover the ancient Kingdom of Macedonia. First, visit the picturesque town of Edessa with its famous Waterfalls, before continuing to Naoussa, a site of exceptional beauty and importance where Aristotle taught his doctrines of morals and politics to Alexander the Great. Then proceed to Vergina to see the astonishing findings from the tomb of King Phillip II, followed by a short drive to Veria to visit the memorial to St. Paul. Take a stroll through the old Jewish district and visit its colourful market. Return to Thessaloniki for dinner and overnight.

Day 5 Thessaloniki - Athens
Set forth to Pella, the capital of Alexander the Great. Here, see the exquisite floor mosaics of the 4th century B.C villas in situ and in the new museum. Then visit the Archaeological Park of Dion, sacred city at the foot of Mt. Olympus, the highest mountain in Greece and house of the 12 Gods of the Greek mythology. Continue south through several Greek towns, including Thessaly, Lamia and Thermopylae where you will see Leonidas' Monument, prior to arriving in Athens in the evening.
