DAY 2 Prague
Prague has a long and colourful history, from its early days as a bishopric, to becoming the residence of the Bohemian kings, and later the capital of both Bohemia and the Holy Roman Empire. Built across seven hills on both banks of the Vltava River more than 1000 years ago, it is one of the most attractive cities in Europe.
Take a comprehensive tour of Prague, a UNESCO World Heritage Site, and see the city's most famous landmarks from the comfort of an air-conditioned bus and a sightseeing boat. Your tour begins with a panoramic bus ride through the historical center of Prague, including the Old Town, New Town, Lesser Town, and Hradčany. You'll get off at Prague Castle, the largest castle complex in the world, to see the exteriors of the Old Royal Palace, St. George's Basilica, and St. Vitus Cathedral. You'll also have time to explore the castle grounds on your own. After your visit to the castle, you'll board a sightseeing boat for a one-hour cruise on the Vltava River. From the boat, you'll have stunning views of the city's many bridges, including Charles Bridge, and its iconic landmarks, such as the Charles Bridge Tower and the Dancing House. Your tour ends on Old Town Square, where you'll have the opportunity to explore the square at your own pace. You can admire the Astronomical Clock, the Tyn Church, the Church of St. Nicholas, and other historic buildings.
