Starting in the stunning country of Poland, spend time in its original capital of Krakow bursting with history, before heading for the modern-day capital of Warsaw teeming with culture. See European Bison in the forests of Bialystok before crossing into Lithuania, spending time in the captivating city of Vilnius. DAY 1 Krakow
Welcome to Krakow! On arrival, your tour commences with an optional transfer to your hotel and the rest of the day is at leisure. You may begin exploring Krakow, the second largest and one of the oldest cities in Poland, known for its well-preserved medieval core and Jewish quarter. This evening, join your fellow travellers and Tour Manager at a Welcome Meeting, before finding yourself a good restaurant and trying Polish food such as zurek, golabki or pierogi.

DAY 2 Krakow
Krakow was once the royal capital of Poland. A morning walking tour brings you to the Old Town to see St. Mary’s Church, Jagiellonian University, and Cloth Halls, with an included visit to Wawel Castle and Cathedral. This afternoon offers an optional excursion to the famous Wieliczka Salt Mines, an amazing labyrinth of underground tunnels. Over the centuries, superstitious miners have carved fabulous figures, monuments and altarpieces out of its salt walls.

DAY 3 Krakow - Warsaw
Enjoy a free morning in Krakow or sign up for an optional tour to visit Auschwitz-Birkenau Memorial Museum, situated on the site of the Nazi German Auschwitz concentration camp. It has been preserved as a research centre and in memory of the 1.1 million people who died there, including 960,000 Jews, during World War II and the Holocaust. Later, be taken to the railway station for your high-speed train to Warsaw and when you arrive, transfer to your hotel.

DAY 4 Warsaw
Your morning sightseeing of Warsaw, a unique blend of past and present, takes you along the Royal Route into the Old Town with its Royal Castle and bustling Market Square. Visit St. John's Cathedral and see the Barbican. In the afternoon, you can go on an optional excursion to Royal Lazienki Park and a tour of its 'Palace on the Water', dating back to the 17th century. This evening, indulge in an optional Polish dinner at a local restaurant.

DAY 5 Warsaw - Bialystok
This morning, travel through the well-forested Eastern Poland to Podlasie region and Bialowieza. The forest there represents the ancient forest that once covered all Europe. Visit Bialowieza National Park and its famous European Bison Show Reserve. After a light stroll along the nature trails of the forest, proceed to your hotel in Bialystok and check in. This afternoon, see this multicultural Polish city and its most notable landmark Branicki Palace.

DAY 6 Bialystok - Vilnius
Travel into Lithuania today through many resort towns. Make a brief stop in Kaunas, the former capital of Lithuania, to admire its beautiful Old Town and elegant baroque Town Hall. At last, arrive in Vilnius, the current capital of and the largest city in the nation, as well as the second-most populous city in the Baltic States. Settle into your hotel and the remainder of the day is yours to unwind or wander around this enchanting metropolis.

DAY 7 Vilnius
Vilnius is a maze of baroque-inspired architecture, cobblestone streets and historic monuments. Your walking tour shows you the Vilnius Cathedral, Gediminas Tower, Old University, 16th century Gates of the Dawn and visits Peter and Paul Church. Afterwards, embark an optional excursion to Trakai, the medieval capital of Lithuania, for a tour of the well-preserved Trakai Castle. In the evening, feast on an optional Lithuanian dinner at a local restaurant.

DAY 8 Vilnius - Riga
Depart Vilnius and stop at the Hill of Crosses, one of Lithuania’s most holy relics. Then cross into Latvia and reach the magnificent Rundale Palace, built by Rastrelli as the former summer residence of the Duke of Courland. Following a guided tour of the complex, continue through the rolling hills of southern Latvia to Riga, the capital of the country set on the Baltic Sea at the mouth of Daugava River. Get a feel for this cultural centre by walking around.

DAY 9 Riga
Riga, founded in 1201, is a true kaleidoscope of architectural styles. Tour the city beginning with the Art Nouveaux district and the Old Town to see Riga Castle, the Dome Cathedral, St. Peter’s Church, the Swedish Gate, the Three Brothers, Freedom Monument and so on. Subsequently, consider an optional visit to Jurmala, famous for its wooden architecture and sandy beaches, while the evening is excellent for an optional organ concert at the Dome Cathedral.

DAY 10 Riga
Spend the day exploring more on your own or discover medieval Latvia by joining this an optional tour to Gauja National Park and the town of Sigulda. Listen to the legend of the Rose of Turaida and see the ruins of the Episopal Castle and of the Castle of the Knights of the Sword. The afternoon is saved for an optional visit to Ethnographical Open-Air Museum, to walk amongst the structures and view household objects from the past, near Lake Jugla.

DAY 11 Riga - Tallinn
Drive along the coastal highway to the resort town of Parnu, Estonia's most popular summer holiday destination since the 19th century. Its history dates to the Middle Ages when it was an important stop along the Hanseatic trade route. Enjoy a short tour of this now beach paradise before travelling through the forests of northern Estonia to Tallinn. Check into your hotel and the balance of the day is at your disposal to discover this delightful capital city.

DAY 12 Tallinn
With captivating history, culture and undeniable charm, Tallin is truly a hidden gem in Europe. Explore the walled city of Tallinn on a morning tour, seeing Toompea Castle, Dome Cathedral and the Old Town Hall, as well as entering the medieval Great Guild HalI. In the afternoon, we recommend an optional excursion to Kadriorg Park with its baroque palace and KUMU, an art museum. Finally, your last night on the tour is celebrated with an optional medieval dinner.
