Filled with lights and layers of snow, immerse yourself in the joyful festive atmosphere of European Christmas markets on this 8 day seasonal escorted tour. This merry experience begins in Prague’s medieval Old Town Square surrounded by brightly decorated wooden huts stocked with local handicrafts and Christmas treats. The celebration continues on to the Christmas mile in Dresden, home to one of Germany’s oldest Christmas markets before closing the trip at Berlin’s vibrant and cultural market.
DAY 1 Prague
Welcome to Prague! Upon arrival, you will be met at the airport and transferred to your hotel. The balance of the day is at leisure so you can either relax or begin exploring this resplendent city on your own. This evening, enjoy a Welcome Dinner and meet your fellow travellers and Tour Manager at your hotel.

DAY 2 Prague
Cross the Vltava River to visit the Royal Castle of Hradcany, the largest ancient castle in the world, serving as the official residence and workplace of the president. Then see the Cathedral of St. Vitus (the largest and most important church in the country), the old Royal Palace (built from the 12th century), St George's Basilica (the oldest surviving church building in Prague) and the Golden Lane with the Daliborka Tower (once used to house prisoners). The afternoon is dedicated to relishing in the Christmas markets and experience the city at its most glorious and festive.

DAY 3 Prague
Sightsee around the city, beginning with the Old Town Square, regarded as one of the most beautiful historical sites in Europe. Glimpse at the famous Astronomical Clock that was first installed in 1410, making it the oldest clock still in operation. Continue onto the Jewish Quarter, St. Nicholas Church, the Charles Bridge and more to gain a deeper understanding and appreciation of this city, before spending the afternoon at the Christmas markets in a true winter wonderland setting. You can find lovely souvenirs to bring home for decoration or gift-giving while sampling more local cuisine like sweet dumplings, fish soup, honey wine, hot apple or grog. Vesele vanoce!

DAY 4 Prague - Dresden
After breakfast, depart for Dresden, the capital city of the German state of Saxony and its second most populous after Leipzig. Recovering well from WWII bombings, it is known as the 'Jewel Box' or 'Florence on the Elbe', for its rich history, cultural significance and beautiful architecture. Begin your tour of the city with its major landmarks such as the Baroque Zwinger Palace, Semperoper Opera House and the Church of Our Lady, followed by an afternoon spent at its famous Christmas markets. There are small and big markets throughout the city where each has its own flair, not to mention a whole 'Christmas mile' that extends along Prager Strabe to the other side of the Elbe River.

DAY 5 Dresden
Today is an entire day for you to visit the oldest Christmas market in Germany, the Striezelmarkt, established since 1434. Despite having had its 589th edition in 2023, it has preserved its distinctive character with many traditional elements and customs stemming from local industries like mining, woodworking and pottery. Hence, indulge in this spectacular celebration of lights, colours and tantalising aromas and admire the world's largest Erzgebirge step pyramid (14.62m tall), a ginormous Ferris Wheel and a massive walk-in candle arch there. Most of all, do not miss the cake that gave its name to the market, a delectable pastry containing fruit, cinnamon, milk, butter and sugar.

DAY 6 Dresden - Berlin
This morning, leave for Berlin, the greenest city in Europe, with one-third of the metropolis consisting of parks, forests and gardens, and home to more waterways than Venice or Amsterdam. Risen from its troubled 20th century past, it has become a culture hub full of vibrant arts and cultural scene, edgy vibes and liberal atmosphere. Arrive in the early afternoon and settle into your hotel, before transfer to one of Berlin's Christmas markets to experience the local magic. Marvel at the handicrafts and decorations while warm up with mulled wine and roasted chestnuts as you browse through hundreds of stalls. Tonight, enjoy a Farewell Dinner with your Tour Manager and fellow travellers.

DAY 7 Berlin
Get to know this city better on an orientation tour featuring the Reichstag, the Renaissance building that once housed Germany's Parliament, and the lovely Schloss Charlottenburg, a Baroque palace built at the end of the 17th century. View other famous sights such as the State Opera, Schiller Theatre and Kaiser Wilhelm Memorial Church, the last of which whose striking ruin rises into the sky as a memorial for peace between nations. In the afternoon, visit the city's most popular Christmas market at Gendarmenmarkt that will delight you to no end with its exceptional artisan crafts, exquisite gourmet and exciting daily shows.
