DAY 1 Vienna
Welcome to Vienna! Upon arrival, you will be met at the airport and transferred to your hotel. The balance of the day is at leisure so you can either relax or begin exploring this city, with its renowned artistic and intellectual legacy, on your own. This evening, enjoy a Welcome Dinner and meet your fellow travellers and Tour Manager at your hotel.

DAY 2 Vienna
After breakfast, begin your day with a morning sightseeing tour of Vienna. Start with a visit of Hofburg Palace, once the seat of the Austro-Hungarian Empire, built in the 13th century and expanded several times afterwards, that also served as the imperial winter residence. Then view Belvedere Palace, Prater Amusement Park, the UN Buildings, St. Stephen's Cathedral, and other reminders of the city's imperial history. The rest of the day is free to stroll through the Christmas Markets of Vienna, which dates to the Middle Ages, when in 1296, King Albrecht I granted Vienna's citizens the privilege of holding a December market or 'Krippenmarkt'. Experience the magic for yourself!

DAY 3 Vienna - Salzburg
This morning, drive to Salzburg, the wonderful city of famed composer Mozart and the shooting location for 'The Sound of Music'. Visit the renowned 'Silent Night' chapel, before checking into your hotel. In the late afternoon, visit Salzburg's Christmas Market, mentioned as far back as the 15th century, located at the foot of the Hohensalzburg Fortress and around the venerable Cathedral of Salzburg. The smell of punch and toasted almonds, hot roasted chestnuts and freshly bakped apples envelopes the city centre, and the vendors' gingerbread hearts, nativity figures, Christmas tree ornaments, toys and snug knitwear are simply irresistible.

DAY 4 Salzburg - Nuremberg
As you depart Salzburg in the morning, head to Regensburg for an orientation tour as it has the best-preserved medieval core in Germany. Almost 1,000 monuments are located closely together in the city centre, forming a bridge through time. Afterwards, visit its impressive Christmas Market voted as the most popular in Bavaria, settled in the heart of this UNESCO World Heritage town. Continue to Nuremberg and check into your hotel. The evening is at your disposal to visit one of its Christmas markets, all within 2-3-minute walking distance from each other, including the main Christkindlesmarkt, the Sister Cities Market, the Original Regional Christmas Market and Children's Market.

DAY 5 Nuremberg
Today, a morning sightseeing tour features major historical sites, including medieval city of Nuremberg, a trip to the Nazi Party rally grounds and the Nuremberg trials. Because of the city's relevance to the Holy Roman Empire and its position in the centre of Germany, the Nazi Party chose the city to be the site of huge Nazi Party conventions, which in turn, made it the place for the ensuing trials on war crimes. Later, visit the main square and its Christkindlesmarkt, one of the oldest and most famous in the world, with an abundance of handmade Christmas decorations and sweet treats. Don't miss tasting the famous lebkuchen (gingerbread), Spekulatius almond cookies and warm mulled wine.

DAY 6 Nuremberg - Munich
Enjoy a late morning drive to Munich, where upon arrival, check into your hotel and relax. Munich is the capital and most populous city of the free state of Bavaria. Home to centuries-old buildings and numerous museums, the city is known for its annual Oktoberfest celebration and beer halls, such as the famous Hofbrauhaus, founded in 1589. This afternoon, you will visit one of the many Christmas markets there, where year after year, visitors from far and wide mingle with the locals in the city's best parlour to join in the festive spirit and yuletide traditions celebrated here. Later, gather for a Farewell Dinner in a local restaurant and reminisce the wonderful times you already had on this trip.

DAY 7 Munich
Join an extensive city tour of Munich where you will see Nymphenburg Castle, which in past times, this baroque palace was the residence of the monarchs of Bavaria. You will also see the Residenz, Maximilian and Leopold Street, the opera, the Olympic grounds, the Marienplatz with the city hall and the famous Carillon, St. Peter Church, the Viktualien Market and may more. The afternoon is dedicated to visit the oldest Christmas market in this city, the 'Munchner Christkindlmarkt'' at the main square. The 25-metre-high Christmas tree with 3,000 candles shines in all its glory, the tropical punch wafts its scent, the angel hair glitters and pre-Christmas magic fills the entire city of Munich!

DAY 8 Munich
Following breakfast, bid farewell to your new friends and Tour Manager as your tour concludes with a departure transfer to the airport for your onward journey.
