DAY 2 Zagreb
Today explore Zagreb at your leisure, seeing both the “Upper” and “Lower” Towns and sights such as the Assumption Cathedral, Church of St. Mark, Jelacic Square and the Parliament building. The remainder of the day is at leisure.

DAY 3 Zagreb – Ljubljana – Bled
Driving distance: approx. 195 km / 120 miles
Your driving adventure begins as you collect your rental vehicle and cross the border into Slovenia to visit the charming capital of Ljubljana. While here make sure you see the most significant sights of the old city centre - the picturesque open-air Central Market (Sundays closed), the Three Bridges, Baroque Town Hall, and Robba's Fountain. You can also take a funicular to Ljubljana Castle or just enjoy lunch on the river bank at one of many restaurants. Afterwards drive to picturesque Bled.

DAY 4 Bled
The day is free to explore Bled. Visit the fairytale Bled Castle, or take a pletna (traditional boat) ride to the island in the middle of the lake, or explore further taking a scenic drive to visit Lake Bohinj.

DAY 5 Bled – Postojna – Opatija
Driving distance: approx. 162 km / 101 miles
We suggest travelling to Opatija via the impressive Postojna Caves, home to one of the largest cavesystems in Europe and/or nearby Predjama Castle. In Opatija, enjoy a stroll through the colourful Angiolina Park, taking in the incredible Austro-Hungarian architecture and the sea views along the Lungomare.

DAY 6 Opatija / Istrian Peninsula

DAY 7 Opatija – Plitvice

DAY 8 Plitvice – Trogir – Split
Driving distance: approx. 241 km / 149 miles
Return to the coast via a recommended stop in the artistic centre of Trogir or quaint Primosten both within an hours drive from Split. You can also stop to see the fortress of Klis, used in the filming of Game of Thrones, on your way in to town. Once you arrive in Split, Croatia's second largest city, take a stroll through the ancient streets of the UNESCO-listed Diocletian's Palace, a remarkable Roman monument that now forms the heart of the city.

DAY 9 Split – Dubrovnik

If you missed it yesterday, visit the bustling market this morning, filled with locals and tourists buying from stalls selling fresh produce and goods. Embark on one of the most scenic drives in Croatia. Enjoy the views as you hug the coastline along the sparkling Adriatic down to Dubrovnik. Return your car this afternoon before either enjoying a swim at one of the local beaches or begin your exploration of the Old Town.

DAY 10 Dubrovnik
Surrounded by ramparts and fortresses, Dubrovnik is a treasure trove carefully preserved over the centuries.
