DAY 2 Dubrovnik
Surrounded by ramparts and fortresses, Dubrovnik is a treasure trove carefully preserved over the centuries. There is so much to see in the medieval Old Town of Dubrovnik: stroll the Stradun and admire the architecture, you can visit the Rector’s Palace and the Franciscan Monastery and of course don't miss walking along the top of the city walls.

DAY 3 Dubrovnik – Split

Your driving adventure begins as you collect your rental vehicle and embark on one of the most scenic drives in Croatia. Enjoy the views as you hug the coastline along the sparkling Adriatic up to Split. Once you arrive in Split, Croatia's second largest city, take a stroll through the ancient streets of the UNESCO-listed Diocletian's Palace, a remarkable Roman monument that now forms the heart of the city.

DAY 4 Split – Trogir – Plitvice

If you missed it yesterday, visit the bustling market this morning, filled with locals and tourists buying from stalls selling fresh produce and goods. Next, drive inland to one of Croatia’s most spectacular sights, Plitvice Lakes National Park, via a recommended stop in the artistic centre of Trogir or quaint Primosten both within an hours drive from Split. You can also stop to see the fortress of Klis, used in the filming of Game of Thrones.

DAY 5 Plitvice – Opatija

DAY 9 Bled – Ljubljana – Zagreb
Driving distance: approx. 195 km / 120 miles
Today, visit the charming capital of Ljubljana. While here make sure you see the most significant sights of the old city centre - the picturesque open-air Central Market (Sundays closed), the Three Bridges, Baroque Town Hall, and Robba's Fountain. You can also take a funicular to Ljubljana Castle or just enjoy lunch on the river bank at one of many restaurants. This afternoon, cross the border into Croatia to visit the large capital Zagreb where you will return your car.
