Day 1 Dubrovnik
Arrive in Dubrovnik and meet your driver for a transfer to your hotel. This evening, enjoy a welcome dinner and meet your fellow travellers and Tour Director. (D)

Day 2 Dubrovnik
A walking tour of Dubrovnik is on this morning’s agenda with visits to Rector’s Palace, the 15th century Orlando’s Column and Sponza Palace. See the Dominican Monastery and tour the Franciscan Monastery which houses one of the oldest pharmacies in the world. The rest of the day is free with many of Dubrovnik’s sights still to explore. (B)

Day 3 Montenegro
Today’s highlight is an excursion to the small but beautiful country of Montenegro with its picturesque coastline littered with seaside resorts and walled towns. First you visit the Bay of Kotor, the longest and deepest fjord in Southern Europe; then continue to Kotor and proceed with a boat ride to Our Lady of the Rocks, one of two islets off the coast of Perast. The Roman Catholic Church is the largest building on the islest, with a museum attached to it.

Upon return to the coast, you will stop in Perast, an old charming coastal town, then also visit, Kotor a medieval city built between the 12th & 14th Centuries, before returning to Dubrovnik. This evening is free to enjoy on your own. (B)

Day 4 Dubrovnik - Split

Journey north along the coast to Split, passing many quaint fishing villages. Enjoy a comprehensive tour of the city built around the remarkable Diocletian’s Palace, the retirement palace for Roman Emperor Diocletian. View the many Romanesque and Gothic structures within the walls of the palace, including the Temple of Jupiter and the cathedral. (B, D)

Day 5 Split - Trogir - Plitvice Lakes
From Split, travel to nearby Trogir, a centre of artistic activity, where scholars from around the world gather to study and paint. After a short tour, you continue inland to World Heritage listed Plitvice Lakes National Park. (B, D)

Day 6 Plitvice Lakes
Begin today with a walking tour of the lower lakes, a breathtaking series of terraced turquoise lakes and cascading waterfalls surrounded by thickly wooded mountains. The remainder of your day is at leisure to explore the spectacular natural surroundings. (B, D)

Day 7 Plitvice Lakes - Opatija - Bled
Return to the sparkling waters of the Adriatic to visit the popular resort of Opatija. Enjoy an orientation tour of this 19th century aristocratic retreat and a favourite holiday spot for many locals. Continue north into Slovenia, stopping en-route at Postojna, home to one of the largest cave systems in Europe. Dinner and overnight in Bled. (B, D)

Day 8 Bled - Ljubljana - Bled
Enjoy a morning tour of picturesque Lake Bled, where you will visit Bled Castle, perched high on a cliff overlooking the lake. This afternoon you will travel to Slovenia’s charming capital, Ljubljana, for a walking tour of the city. See its lively open-air market, baroque Town Hall, Robba’s Fountain and Three Bridges. This is followed by a scenic drive to picturesque Lake Bled, where you will visit Bled Castle, perched high on a cliff overlooking the lake. Return to Bled in the evening. (B)

Day 9 Bled - Trieste - Venice
Today, travel south to Trieste for a short orientation tour and a visit to Miramare Castle. The castle was built by the Hapsburgs and has beautifully landscaped gardens overlooking the Adriatic Sea. Overnight in Venice. (B)

Day 10 Venice
Enjoy a walking tour of this unique city built on 100 small islands and connected by 400 bridges. Wander the maze-like streets of romantic Venice, visiting the Basilica of San Marco, St. Marks Square, Doge’s Palace and the Bridge of Sighs, notable for its association with Casanova. Your afternoon is free to continue your exploration of this beautiful city. (B, D)

Day 11 Venice
Your Dubrovnik to Venice tour concludes after breakfast with a departure airport transfer to the airport or railway station. (B)
