Day 1 Vienna
On arrival in Vienna, transfer to your hotel. Relax and refresh before meeting your fellow travellers and Tour Director at a welcome dinner. (D)

Day 2 Vienna
Your journey through six countries begins with a tour of Austria’s beautiful capital. Visit the Hofburg Palace, once the seat of the Austro-Hungarian Empire, and view majestic Belvedere Palace, the Gothic spires of St. Stephen’s Cathedral and other reminders of Vienna’s imperial past. Afternoon at leisure. (B)

Day 3 Vienna - Budapest
Depart Vienna and travel east to Budapest. After checking in at your hotel, spend time acquainting yourself with this vibrant city before dinner this evening. (B, D)

Day 4 Budapest
Admire many of the city’s famous sights on your morning tour of Buda and Pest. The two former villages linked across the Danube are a masterpiece of beautiful architecture. View the riverside Parliament, Heroes’ Square and the Castle Hill area housing the Royal Palace and Fisherman’s Bastion. Afternoon and evening at leisure. (B)

Day 5 Budapest - Krakow
Leave Budapest and journey through the Slovakian countryside, past the Tatra Mountains and on to Krakow. Late afternoon arrival into Krakow with time to freshen up before dinner. (B, D)

Holiday Inn Krakow City Centre (4 star)

Day 6 Krakow
Discover historical Krakow, the ancient capital of Poland. Your sightseeing tour takes you to Wawel Hill and the striking Royal Castle and Royal Cathedral. Continue with a walking tour of the Old Town, wander through Market Square and visit the Renaissance Cloth Hall and the Gothic twin spires of St. Mary’s Church. In the afternoon, you have free time to further explore. (B)

Day 7 Krakow - Warsaw
Free morning, or join an optional excursion to the concentration camp of Auschwitz, now a UNESCO World Heritage listed site. Later, continue to Czestochowa, known for its “Black Madonna” at Yasna Gora Monastery. Arrive in Warsaw for dinner and overnight. (B, D)

Day 8 Warsaw

Your tour of Warsaw includes a drive along the Royal Route from Castle Square to Lazienki Park and Palace, the former royal residence. Also visit the Saxon Gardens, the Warsaw Ghetto Monument and the Barbican before a walk through the Old Town, Market Square and the Cathedral of St. John, burial place of Poland’s last king. Afternoon at leisure. An optional Chopin concert will be offered this evening. (B)

Day 9 Warsaw - Berlin
Travel west via Poznan where you will enjoy an orientation tour of this university town before arriving in Germany’s capital, Berlin. (B, D)

Day 10 Berlin
A sightseeing tour of this reunited city features the lovely Schloss Charlottenburg and the Reichstag, Germany’s Parliament. Continue through former East and West Berlin to view many famous sights such as the Opera House, Schiller Theatre and the Kaiser Wilhelm Memorial Church. Afternoon at leisure. (B)

Day 11 Berlin - Dresden - Prague
Continue your journey via baroque Dresden, where an orientation tour will feature the elegant Zwinger Palace, Semper Opera House and other historical sites. Continue to Prague for dinner and overnight. (B, D)

Stay at
Mamaisson Riverside (4 star)

Day 12 Prague
Your city tour of medieval Prague starts with a drive to Wenceslas Square, Strahov Stadium and Castle Square. Walk through the castle district to Hradcany, St. Vitus Cathedral and the Royal Palace, then cross the famous Charles Bridge to the Old Town to view the Jewish Ghetto, Town Hall and Astronomical Clock. The rest of the day is at leisure, or enjoy an optional cultural performance. (B)

Day 13 Prague
Your Eastern European Panorama tour concludes after breakfast with a departure airport transfer. (B)
