Day 1 Helsinki
Arrive in Helsinki with an optional transfer to your hotel. Tonight, join your fellow travellers and Tour Director at a welcome meeting.

Day 2 Helsinki
Finland’s capital exhibits both Swedish and Russian influences. Your sightseeing tour includes the city’s lovely harbour, Parliament Building, Finlandia Hall, Sibelius Monument and the famous “Church in the Rock.” In the afternoon, an optional tour is offered to Seurasaari Open-Air Museum. (B)

Day 3 Helsinki - St. Petersburg
Today, continue east to imperial St. Petersburg via the quaint town of Vyborg for a tour of its 13th century castle. Arrive in St. Petersburg and check-in at your hotel, the remainder of the evening is at leisure. (B)

Day 4 St. Petersburg
You will become acquainted with the city’s foundations at Peter and Paul Fortress, then travel the city’s main boulevard, Nevsky Prospekt, and see Kazan Cathedral, Church of the Spilt Blood, St. Isaac’s Cathedral, Alexander Nevsky Convent and much more. This afternoon offers an optional tour to Zarskoye Selo with the impressive Catherine's Palace and the Amber Room, which vanished during WWII and was restored for St. Petersburg's tri-centennial celebrations. In the evening, join an optional visit to Nikolaevsky Palace for an entertaining folklore show. (B)

Day 5 St. Petersburg
This morning’s optional excursion to Peterhof, an uncontested masterpiece of the time of Peter the Great with the impressive Grand Palace, Grand Cascade and Water Avenue and its wonderful parks. In the afternoon, an optional visit to the world famous Hermitage Art Museum is offered. In the evening, enjoy an optional dinner at a traditional Russian restaurant. (B)

Day 6 St. Petersburg - Moscow
This morning is reserved for an optional St. Petersburg channel cruise, before boarding the afternoon Sapsan train to Moscow. (B)

Day 7 Moscow
On your morning sightseeing tour of the Russian capital, you will see Red Square, St. Basil’s Cathedral, the Bolshoi Theatre and the Sparrow Hills with Moscow University. You will also visit the Kremlin grounds and one of the cathedrals. In the afternoon take an optional tour of the Moscow Metro including the historical stations on the Ring-Line and a guided stroll on the famous pedestrian Arbat street. In the evening take an optional tour by cruise on the Moscow River. (B)

Day 8 Moscow
Take an optional day excursion to the quaint town of Sergiev Posad, visit the Trinity Lavra of St. Sergius, the most important Russian monastery and the spiritual heart of the Russian Orthodox Church. The evening offers an optional visit to the Old Russian Circus. (B)

Day 9 Moscow
Your tour concludes after breakfast with an optional departure transfer. (B)
