Day 1 Riga
Arrive in Riga with an optional transfer to your hotel. Tonight join your fellow travellers and Tour Director at a welcome meeting.

Day 2 Riga
Riga, founded in 1201, is a true kaleidoscope of architectural styles. Your walking tour of the Old Town includes Riga Castle, Dome Cathedral, St. Peter’s Church and Freedom Monument. In the afternoon, join an optional visit to Jurmala which is famous for its wooden architecture and sandy beaches. This evening enjoy an optional dinner at a traditional Latvian restaurant. (B)

Day 3 Riga - Tallinn
Drive along the coastal highway to the Estonian resort town of Pärnu. Enjoy a short tour before travelling through northern Estonia to Tallinn. (B)

Day 4 Tallinn
Explore the walled, medieval city of Tallinn on a walking tour and see Toompea Castle, Dome Cathedral and Old Town Hall. In the afternoon, take an optional excursion to Kadriorg Park with its baroque palace built for Peter the Great, and in the evening enjoy an optional medieval dinner. (B)

Day 5 Tallinn - Helsinki
Optional day excursion to Lahemaa National Park where you will visit Palmse Manor, a memorial to the von Pahlen family and Sagadi Manor. The tour ends with a visit to the charming 16th century Vihula Manor and the Vodka Museum. After lunch, you head back to Tallinn for a transfer to the ferry terminal to cross the Gulf of Finland to Helsinki. On arrival, transfer to your hotel (B)

Day 6 Helsinki
Helsinki, at the crossroads of western and eastern culture, exhibits both Swedish and Russian influences. Your sightseeing tour includes the city’s lovely harbour, Parliament Building, Finlandia Hall, Sibelius Monument and the famous “Church in the Rock.” In the afternoon, an optional tour is offered to Seurasaari Open-Air Museum. Day 7 Helsinki - St. Petersburg
Today, continue east to imperial St. Petersburg via the quaint town of Vyborg for a tour of its 13th century castle. Late in the afternoon, arrive in magnificent St. Petersburg. (B)

Day 8 St. Petersburg
During your morning tour of the “Venice of the North,” become acquainted with the city’s foundations at Peter and Paul Fortress, built by Peter the Great in 1703. Then travel the city’s main boulevard, Nevsky Prospekt, and see Kazan Cathedral, Church of the Spilt Blood, St. Isaac’s Cathedral, Alexander Nevsky Convent and much more. This afternoon offers an optional tour to Zarskoye Selo with the impressive Catherine's Palace and the Amber Room which vanished during WWII and was restored for St. Petersburg's tri-centennial celebrations. In the evening, join an optional visit to Nickolaevsky Palace for an entertaining folklore show. (B)

Day 9 St. Petersburg
This morning’s optional excursion is to Peterhof, an uncontested masterpiece of the time of Peter the Great, with the impressive Gran Palace, Grand Cascade and Water Avenue and its wonderful parks. In the afternoon an optional visit to the world famous Hermitage Art Museum if offered. In the evening, enjoy an optional dinner at a traditional Russian restaurant. (B)

Day 10 St. Petersburg
Your Baltic Capitals tour concludes after breakfast with an optional departure transfer. (B)
