DAY 1 Darwin
After your flight, find yourself arriving in Darwin during the best time of the year - warm days and low humidity.
Using your taxi voucher, head to your accommodation where you have the rest of the day to settle in. Darwin is known for its diverse multicultural cuisine and tonight you have a free evening to explore the many restaurants and bars just outside the hotel.

DAY 2 Darwin
This morning meet your friendly crew and fellow adventurers before a day of exploring Darwin. Uncover the eclectic past with a local guide as you discover the part Darwin played during World War II. You’ll find that the city still contains many of its historic buildings such as the Old Court House and Government House that sit alongside the newly constructed Parliament House. Afterwards you’ll have time to soak up the balmy weather with free time where you can visit one of the many Aboriginal art galleries, museums or enjoy some retail therapy. This evening experience the famous Darwin sunset on onboard the Spirit of Darwin. With a view only gained from the waters of the harbour, sit back and relax with a wonderful dinner while the Top End sky puts on a brilliant display of burning yellows, deep oranges and wild pinks. DAY 3 Darwin - Litchfiled NP - Katherine
This morning depart Darwin for the beautiful Litchfield National Park where you can swim in rock-pools amongst impressive canyons. With untouched rainforests, stunning waterfalls, swimming holes and magnificent scenery, Litchfield has gained the reputation as the jewel of the Northern Territory’s crown. There are some great photo opportunities as you stop to see the magnetic anthills and see the cascading Florence Falls. For anyone looking for a swim – take a dip in the Wangi Falls plunge pool. This afternoon travel to Katherine for a jaw dropping Nitmiluk Gorge Cruise. Be transported to the spiritual world of the Jawoyn culture and history as you witness the magnificent gorge backdrop and ever changing colour as the sun sets. Finish your evening with a candlelit dinner under the sparkling stars is the perfect end to the day. BLD

DAY 4 Katherine - Kununurra
From Katherine travel to Victoria River Crossing and Timber Creek at the northern edge of the Gregory National Park as you then cross the border into Western Australia. A highlight will be the cruise from Lake Argyle, a Kimberley treasure, to Kununurra. Marvel at the spectacular scenery and abundance of Australian native wildlife in their natural habitat. Take in the untamed landscape of the lesser known but equally incredible Carr Boyd Ranges. Arrive in Kununurra, established as the residential and administrative centre of the Ord River Scheme – a huge irrigation system that was developed in the 1970s. BL

DAY 5 Kununurra
This morning you have time for a remarkable optional* flight over Purnululu National Park to see the Bungle Bungle Range (own expense). See a maze of curious orange and black striped beehive shaped domes from above making it one of the Kimberley’s best scenic views. For those not wanting to fly, this is the perfect opportunity for a sleep in! Afterwards embark on a tour of the town which will include Diversion Dam, Kellys Knob and Ivanhoe Crossing where you will learn of their significance. Later this afternoon visit Mirima National Park, also known as Hidden Valley. Hailed by the locals as the mini Bungle Bungle range, the fascinating rock formations have taken shape over millions of years. BD

DAY 6 Kununurra
Touring the Kimberley is one highlight after another, but today will be a day to remember! Enjoy a leisurely start before journeying to the Zebra Rock Mine on the Northern Territory border. Zebra Rock is a geological enigma found nowhere else in the world and the cause of its unique Zebra pattern has evaded geologists for years. Enjoy lunch of freshly caught Silver Cobbler before a tour of the mine. Afterwards enjoy afternoon tea and explore the gallery full of handmade jewellery. Your evening concludes with sparkling wine and nibbles as you watch the sun set over spectacular Lake Argyle. BLD

DAY 7 Kununurra - Halls Creek
Say goodbye to Kununurra and travel to the Argyle Diamond Mine where you meet your destination specialist for a tour. Argyle Diamon Mine is Australia’s only major diamond producer, manufacturing the extremely rare and valuable pink diamonds as well as fine whites, intriguing champagne and cognac diamonds. After your tour and lunch in the Mess, continue to Halls Creek, on the edge of the Great Sandy Desert where you will have dinner at your hotel. BLD

DAY 8 Halls Creek - Fitzroy Crossing
Take in the ever-changing landscape as you travel west through the magnificent red mountain scenery of the Kimberley to Fitzroy Crossing, one of Australia’s unique outback towns. At Danggu Geikie Gorge, take in the panoramic views and learn about the stunning geological features, wildlife and cultural significance of the gorge on a relaxing cruise. The gorge has been carved over millions of years by the mighty Fitzroy River, through part of an ancient limestone barrier reef which snakes across the west Kimberley. BLD

DAY 9 Fitzroy Crossing - Broome
Your destination today is Broome, with a visit to the Boab Prison Tree en route, used in the 1890's as overnight prison on the trek to Derby. You can also see the local water trough, claimed to be the biggest in the southern hemisphere! Continue your journey into Broome, surrounded by white sandy beaches and clear blue waters. Enjoy an evening at leisure where you can take your pick from beachside restaurants and bars to Asian inspired cuisine perfectly matched to Broome’s balmy nights. B

DAY 10 Broome
Broome’s rich and colourful history began with the mass migration of Japanese, Filipino and Malay pearl divers seeking their fortune. This created a melting pot of cultures that make Broome the culturally diverse town that it is today. This morning visit Pearl Luggers where you will uncover the history of pearling, explore fascinating memorabilia and hear firsthand experiences from divers. You’ll also see the highlights of Broome including Gantheaume Point, the Japanese Cemetery and Chinatown. Have your camera ready as in the late afternoon you'll journey to famous Cable Beach to watch a magical sunset before enjoying dinner with your fellow travellers. BD

DAY 11 Broome
