Day 1 Zagreb
Welcome to Zagreb, you will be met and transferred to your hotel. This evening meet your Tour Director and fellow travellers for a welcome drink.

Day 2 Zagreb
Get to know the Croatian capital with a city tour that will show you historic buildings, such as the neo-gothic St Marcus church. Your local guide will then take you to enjoy a cheese tasting at the Dolac market, an ideal place to delve into Croatia's culinary scene and ride a funicular to the Upper Town. The rest of your afternoon if at leisure.(B)

Day 3 Zagreb - Sarajevo
After breakfast travel from Zagreb to Sarajevo, the 'European Jerusalem'. The city has a very unique feel, for over four hundred years there has been a number of mosques, synagogues, Orthodox and Roman Catholic churches built side by side throughout the city. Enjoy the remainder of your day at leisure. (B, D)

Day 4 Sarajevo
This morning join a local guide for a walking tour of the city's Old town. Visit the Gazi-Husrevbey mosque the largest in the Balkans, see the Eternal Flame and Sarajevo Roses memorials which are dotted across the city as a stark reminder of past turmoil which the city endured just a few decades ago. In the heart of the city you will find the famous old bazzar Bascarsija from the Turkish period, where you can see various handicrafts of metal, stone, wood, glass, wool and leather. (B)

Day 5 Sarajevo - Visegrád - Zlatibor
Leaving Sarajevo you will head for Visegrád, famous for its UNESCO listed bridge over the Drina river which was immortalised in a classic novel by Ivo Andric. The city also features a small mock-historic town inspired by the works of the Nobel Prize winning author. Continue to Mokra Gora, a mountain village surrounded by breathtaking views of valleys and gorges. Nearby is the ethno village Drvengrad, a wooden town built for the film 'Life is a Miracle'. Finish the day in Zlatibor with its attractive setting. (B, L, D)

Day 6 Zlatibor - Durmitor - Podgorica
Depart Zlatibor for Zabljak, the highest town in the Balkans, sitting at 1,450 meters above sea level. Enjoy the stunning mountain scenery as you have lunch at a local restaurant. Continue on to the UNESCO listed Durmitor National Park, well-known for its rugged and dramatic landscapes. In the afternoon, drive past the spiritual and mysterious Ostrog Monastery which sits carved within a cliff face and finish your day at the capital city of Podgorica. (B, L)

Day 7 Podgoica - Skadar Lake - Cetinje - Budva
This morning join a guided orientation of Podgorica. The city’s mix of architectural styles reflects its turbulent history of regimes and conflict. Explore the Old Town, dominated by the centuries-old Clock Tower, a fantastic example of architecture from the Ottoman period. Continue to Skadar Lake, the largest lake on the Balkin peninsula. After travel to Cetinje, the Old Royal Capital of Montenegro which is filled with cultural treasures and historical heritage. There will also be the opportunity to try the local delicacy, a Njegusi sandwich made with fresh homemade bread and filled with Njegusi prosciutto and cheese. In the afternoon, continue to the walled town of Budva, a coastal town in the Budva Riviera. Wander the narrow streets with your guide of the medieval Old Town, lined with Venetian-built stone walls. Day 8 Budva - Sveti Stefan - Kotor - Dubrovnik
In the morning travel to Sveti Stefan for a photo stop and to learn about the interesting history of this small islet. Continue to the amazing city of Kotor - a UNESCO listed site due to the many ancient monuments and well-preserved architecture that adorn its streets. Join your guide to explore the historic centre, with its bustling market and beautiful Renaissance buildings. Continue on to one of the most iconic places in the Bay of Kotor - Perast, join a boat trip to the small islet 'Our Lady of the Rocks'. Afterwards, head towards Dubrovnik for an afternoon arrival at the fortified city. (B)

Day 9 Dubrovnik
On a guided walking tour of the 'Pearl of the Adriatic Sea' see the impressive ramparts, erected during the Crusades to protect the town against land attacks. You will visit the 15th-century Rector's Palace and an early 14th-century Franciscan Monastery with its historic pharmacy. The remainder of the day is at leisure to further explore this medieval town. Tonight say farewell to your fellow travellers over dinner. (B, D)

Day 10 Dubrovnik
Your Balkan Discovery tour concludes with a departure transfer for your onward journey. (B)
