Day 1 Zagreb
Welcome to fascinating Zagreb, you will be and transferred to your hotel. Check in to your hotel and spend the rest of your day exploring this exciting capital city. This evening meet your Tour Director and fellow travellers over a welcome drink.

Day 2 Zagreb
This morning join your guide to explore the exciting capital city. Marvel at the historic buildings which fill the city, such as the neo-gothic St. Marcus Church. Enjoy an opportunity to delve into Croatia's culinary scene with a cheese tasting at the bustling Dolac Market. Then take a funicular ride to the fortified Upper Town to see the many famed landmarks including the St. Catherine's Church and the beautiful twin spires of the 19th century Cathedral of Assumption. Enjoy the afternoon at leisure. (B)

Day 3 Zagreb - Ljubljana
Leaving Zagreb you will head north to the charming city of Ljubljana, the greenest capital in Europe. Enjoy a walking tour of the old city to see the many architectural highlights including the picturesque open-air market, the three bridges over Ljubljanic river, the baroque Town Hall and Robba's Fountain. You will also have the opportunity to visit the fascinating Ljubljana Castle and virtual museum. (B, D)

Day 4 Ljubljana - Bled - Bohinj
Depart for the alpine town of Bled, home to a lovely emerald green lake set against a backdrop of the Julian Alps. Visit the lake-side castle and enjoy breath-taking views of the mountains, lake and surrounding countryside. Afterwards, there is the opportunity to join an optional pletna boat ride and see the 15th century Church of Assumption. Continue on to the beautiful Bohinj region, where you will find quaint towns and views of stunning alpine valleys. (B, D)

Day 5 Bohinj
Today you will explore Bohinj, which is divided into the Upper and Lower valley. Take in views of the many Alpine villages as you visit the gothic St. John the Baptist Church, with its well-preserved frescoes. Continue your exploration with a cable car ride to Mount Vogel for wonderful views of the lake and the Julian Alps. In the afternoon, visit local farmers who produce butter and cheese the traditional way - using a copper kettle above a wood fireplace. (B)

Day 6 Bohinj - Postojna - Opatija
This morning travel to the Opatija Riviera for a stop at the modern-day resort town. On the way, you will stop at Postonja, one of Europe's largest cave systems. It is the only cave in the world to be operating a train where you can view the fascinating geological world underground. Arrive into Opatija in the late afternoon and enjoy time at leisure. (B, D)

Day 7 Istrian Peninsula
This morning join a full day tour to the coastal city of Pula - the largest city in Istria. Your guided tour will take you to the amphitheatre Arena, Hercules Gate, the Cathedral and the Temple of Augustus. Continue to the small village of Bale to enjoy olive oil tasting with a light snack. Also visit Rovinj and walk through the charming town to see the Church of St. Euphemia, the artist colony and the city gates. After time at leisure, return in the late afternoon to Opatija. (B)

Day 8 Opatija - Plitvice - Split
Leaving Opatija you will head south to discover the UNESCO-listed Plitvice National Park. Where you will walk by the lush vegetation and cascading lakes to watch as the water transforms from emerald green to azure blue. In the late afternoon, depart for Split and enjoy dinner at a local restaurant. (B, D)
